Topic- What clothes say about you

Type of documentary- Mixed documentary

Style of documentary- Informal and informative

Channel and scheduling- As a group we decided that channel 4 would be the channel we broadcasted our documentary. We will also be broadcasting the documentary after 9pm (post watershed).

Target audience- late teenagers, young adults aged between 16-24 male and female. People that are interested in the clothes they wear.

Primary research needed- Interviewees: Matt's Dad, Mrs Battle, Bob Murray (police), Emma- Infinities, Mr Dyment and Mark West.
Locations- Matt's room, Mrs Battle's office, (POLICE), Infinities shop, Mr Dyments office and (WEST).

Props- Posters, clothes for Matt's Dad. Mrs Battle's office. Police helmet, badge, uniform. Designer shop for Emma- Infinities. Mr Dyment's office, mise en scene. Mark West's t-shirts etc.

Secondary research needed- Archive material: Awaydays, Footage of people hanging around in their gangs, hoodies, identity etc. Gok Wan's fashion fix archive footage with him helping girls to dress to be confident.

Change of idea

I was absent due to illness. The other 2 members of my group decided that basing our documentary on the subculture topic was getting rather difficult, and our interviewees were not reliable. We debated and discussed this issue and have now decided to change our documentary to an easier topic. We have discussed changing our documentary to about Why people wear the clothes they do? and what influences them to wearing their clothes, we will get proffesional opinions on the subject.

Forml Proposal

Topic- British subcultures

Type of documentary- Mixed documentary

Style of documentary- Informal and informative

Channel and Scheduling- From out primary research we have decided on Channel 4 because that was the most watched channel by our target audience. Also we will broadcast our documentary after 9pm.

Target audience- Late teenagers, young adults. 16-24 male and female. People who are interested in subcultures.

This shows that our target audience can be aimed at both females and males as we received half and half on our results.

This also shows that our documentary will more be aimed at people between the age of 16-19 as our results were 26 out of 30.
